Then on February 23, 1852, he then married Elmire Plante in Montreal, Notre-Dame, QC. Joseph Ellery immigrated to North Braintree, Massachusetts, where their Allaire name was anglicized to Ellery. Joseph worked as a "shoe laster" for the Royal Worcester Corset Company. He died sometime between 1870 and 1893, probably in North Brookfield, Massachusetts since his youngest was born there, and his wife died there after him. However, there is no record.
Elmire Plante was born June 15, 1826 in Montreal. Her parents were Joseph Plante & Sophie Labelle. Their children were Wilfred, Joseph, Alexander, Almira, John Lawrence, Augustus, Orvilla/Ovila (Male), Josephine, Peter "Alexander". She died in North Brookfield, Massachusetts on March 21, 1893. Her cause of death is listed as cancer. She was 65, a widow and homemaker.

FOURTH GENERATION
Lora Vitalie ELLERY aka Lili PATENAUDE was put up for adoption in 1866 by Odile "Delia" Champagne and Olivier-Camille-Alfred Patenaude. Her name was legally changed to Lilly Paternande according to the transcription, but it was actually Lilly Patenaude. There's a colorful story about the adoptive parents and their divorce, which is why Lora was sent to boarding school and basically abandoned by the adoptive family. She became a nanny for a protestant family and changed back to Lora Ellery because that was less catholic sounding (according to the family stories).
Lora Vitalie Ellery married William Alfred James Case in Toronto. She went to Toronto and stayed with her adoptive mother for a short time (who had remarried and moved to Toronto). William Alfred James Case was a lawyer, son of Alfred James William Case & Anna Stone. Willaim was born in Exeter, Devon, England in 1878. The two were married sometime after 1911 and before 1913 in Toronto. Lora died in Toronto on September 21, 1945 of "stomach cancer". She was a widow and her residence at the time was 15 Gowan Avenue (East York area). Obit listed in Toronto Star.
