176. Joseph François FOURQUIN-LÉVEILLÉEwas born on 22 & baptized 23 April 1727 in St-Privat, diocese of Thol, Lorraine, France. Vitée or Vittel is situated in the heart of the Lorraine Plains. It is southeast of Newfchâteau in the Department of Vosges and south of Nancy in Lorraine, France.
He was also known as Joseph FOURQUAIN dit LÉVEILLÉE (Tanguay) and François FOURQUIN-LÉVEILLÉE. He is listed as a godfather to Marie Agathe CANTARA on the Baptismal Acte of 22 Oct 1759. His name appears as JOSEPH FOURCAIN LEVEILLE and his occupation is listed as "SOLDAT AU REGIMENT DE LANGUEDOC". His goddaughter Marie Agathe lived less than a month.
He married Marie-Anne GIGUÈRE on 22 February 1762 in St-Michel, Yamaska, Québec. The Marriage Contract was set up on 2 March 1762 with the Notary Louis PILLARD. Joseph Léveillé died and was buried on 30 June 1773 in St-Michel-d'Yamaska, Québec.(1)(3)(5)(2)(22)

There is an entry in the Family Tree Maker's Archives: Passenger and Immigration Lists Index, 1500s-1900s that states "Fourquain, Joseph, 1762, Québec, from Norman Laybourn Emigrations of Alsaciens & Lorrains." This would probably indicate that Joseph was born in Diocèse de Thou, Toul, Lorraine, France, where his parents were married.

177. Marie Anne GIGUÈRE DESPINS was born on 16 and baptized on 17 May 1739 in St-Michel d'Yamaska, Québec. She married three times. She was the widow of Joseph PETIT GRANDMENIL aka François REGIS, whom she married on 6 February 1758. Marie Anne and Joseph has a son named Pierre PETIT. Marie-Anne married a third time to Jean-Baptiste CHEVALIER on 12 June 1786 in St-Michel d'Yamaska. Marie Anne died on 4 and was buried on 5 January 1802 in St-Michel d'Yamaska, Québec. There are two descending lineages from the Joseph Fourquin Léveillée & Marie Anne Giguère Despins to the Léveillée - Fourquin - Théroux Families.

Jacques Louis LÉVEILLÉE dit FOURQUIN was born 19 and baptized 20 November 1771 in the parish of St-Michel d'Yamaska, Québec.   He married Marie Catherine StGERMAIN dit GAUSSIN/GAUCIN on 15 January 1798 in St-Michel, Yamaska, Québec. Jacques married a second time to Marie Alexandre LALIBERTÉ on 30 November 1851 in St-Guillaume d'Upton. Jacques died on 11 and was buried on 13 July 1860 in St-David d'Yamaska.
Marie Catherine was born on 14 August and baptized 15 August 1779 in St-Michel d'Yamaska. Marie died on 8 and was buried 10 January 1845 in St-David d'Yamaska, Québec. (4) (15) (16) (23)

Joseph FOURQUIN LÉVEILLÉ was born on 9 December 1808 in St-Michel d'Yamaska. He married Élisabeth FOURQUIN on 13 February 1838 in St-Michel. Élisabeth, the daughter of Michel FOURQUIN & Catherine PARENTEAU, was born on 3 July 1818 in St-Michel d'Yamaska.
Jean Johnny FOURQUIN LÉVEILLÉ married Emélie PARENTEAU on 13 February 1871 in St-David de Richelieu. Their daughter Délima FOURQUIN LÉVEILLÉ married Daniel Elphège MONDOU
