Jean VALLÉE/LAVALLÉE was born in 1652. He was also known as Jean LAVALLÉE dit PETIT JEAN. He immigrated from France to New France before 1671. He was a member of the Compagnie St.Ours et Menuisier. Jean and his family are mentioned in the Sorel Census of 1681. He married Marguerite DUSSON before 31 Dec 1671 in Sorel, Richelieu. He died and was buried 12 Jul 1692 in Montréal.
Marguerite DUSSON was born in 1656. She was also known as Marguerite BISSON. She died 20 Jul 1731 in Sorel, Richelieu, Québec.

ii.Jean Baptiste LAVALLÉE was born and baptized 14 Feb 1674 at Sorel. He married Jeanne Catherine HUS PAUL 19 Nov 1702 in St-François-du-Lac. He died 30 Dec and was buried 31 Dec 1743 in Sorel. Note: This is the ancestor of Colleen James McAllister, cousin of Annette Lavallée Léveillée, wife of this site's author. (NAL)i.Jeanne Anne LAVALLÉE was born in 1671 at Sorel. She married Jean BERTRAND 5 Jul 1696 in Charlesbourg. She died 3 Mar 1715 in L'Ancienne-Lorette.
iii. Marie Françoise LAVALLÉE was born 27 Dec and baptized 29 Dec 1675 in Sorel. She married Marc Antoine PAUL HUS 5 Dec 1689 in Sorel. She died 27 Jan and was buried 28 Jan 1748 in Sorel.
iv.Marie Catherine LAVALLÉE was born 3 Nov 1678 at Sorel. She married Jean-Baptiste CHEVALIER 28 Nov 1701 in Pointe-aux-Trembles. She died 24 Feb 1722 in Sorel.
v.Pierre-Noël LAVALLÉE was born 4 April and baptized 5 April 1680 at Sorel. He was hired to go out West 10 Jul 1703 ("engagé Ouest 10 Jul 1703").
TENTH GENERATION
Jean Baptiste LAVALLÉE/VALLÉE was baptized 14 Feb 1674, Sorel, Richelieu, Québec. He married Jeanne-Catherine HUS 19 Nov 1702 in St-François-du-Lac. He was buried 31 Dec 1743 in Sorel.
Jeanne-Catherine HUS was born 6 May and baptized on 7 May 1680 and buried 3 Jan 1744.(5) Her brother was Marc Antoine HUS. She died 2 Jan and was buried 3 Jan 1744 in Sorel.

iii. Jean-Baptiste LAVALLÉE was born 29 Feb 1706 in Sorel. He married Marie Madeleine GÉNÉREUX (Pierre & Françoise DESSUREAUX), 13 May 1734, Contrat Notaire De La Fosse.i. Thérèse LAVALLÉE/VALLÉE was born and baptized 16 Mar 1704 in Sorel. The father of her son was unkown. She died 26 Aug 1742 in Sorel.
ii. Marie-Josèph LAVALLÉE born 28 Feb & baptized 16 Mar 1706 in Île-du-Pas; godparents were Joseph LAMI & Marie PAULHUS. (3) She married Jean-Baptiste ST-MARTIN aka MARTIN on 1 March 1734 in St-Pierre de Sorel. Jean-Baptiste's parents were Jean ST-MARTIN & Anne BAULIEU (BANLIER). She was also known as Marie-Josette LAVALLÉE/VALLÉE.
x. Louis VALLÉ LAVALLÉE born 28 Mar and baptized 29 Mar 1718 in Sorel. He married Marguerite LAGUERCE, daughter of Jean-François & Marie-Marguerite LEFEBRE on 14 Jun 1751 in Sorel, Richelieu County, Québec. He was buried in Sorel on 23 Jan 1761.
iv. Jacques LAVALLÉE was born & baptized 29 Feb 1708 in Sorel. He married Élizabeth Isabelle CABASSIER (Charles & Marguérite-Angélique RENAULT) 10 Nov 1734, Montréal, Québec. (8)Children were:

v. Joseph LAVALLÉE dit BAILLARGEON was born 23 Sept 1710 in Chenail-du-Moine and baptized 29 Sept 1710 in Sorel. His twin brother is Michel. He married Catherine DUBOIS BRISBOIS 4 Nov 1748, St-Michel d'Yamaska, Québec.
vi. Michel LAVALLÉE born 23 Sept 1710 in Chenail-du-Moine and baptized 29 Sept 1710 in Sorel. His twin brother is Joseph. His first marriage was to Marguerite PETIT-BRUNEAU (Joseph & Marie-Jeanne BRISSET) 26 May 1736, Contrat Notaire De La Fosse. His second marriage was to Geneviève DUTAUT (Pierre & Françoise CASAUBON) 27 Oct 1747, Contract Notaire Jean-Baptiste Dufresne.
vii. Antoine LAVALLÉE born 22 Aug and baptized 24 Aug 1712 in Sorel. He was buried 19 May 1757 in Sorel.
viii. Catherine LAVALLÉE born 1 Aug and baptized 3 Aug 1714 in Sorel. She was buried 13 Jan 1730 in Sorel.
ix. Pierre LAVALLÉE born and baptized 1 April 1716 in Sorel. His first marriage was to Geneviève BÉLAIR PLESSIS (Jean-Louis & Marie-Anne PETIT) 18 May 1744, Contrat Notaire Sous Seing Privé. His second marriage was to Marie PÉLOQUIN, the daughter of Félix PÉLOQUIN & Marie PELLETIER on 28 Apr 1749, in Sorel. His third marriage was to Élisabeth DESROSIERS-DUTREMBLE, the daughter of Antoine & Marie-Anne ST-AGNE on 2 Nov 1754, Sorel.
xi. Marie Anne (Antoinette) LAVALLÉE was baptized 8 Feb 1722 in Sorel. Her first marriage on 17 May 1745 was to François PELOQUIN FELIX CREDY, the son of Félix PELOQUIN & Marie PELLETIER (2). Her second marriage on 18 Apr 1757 was to Michel GAUTHIER-DELISLE.
xii. Paul LAVALLÉE baptized 1 Oct 1724 in Sorel and was buried 25 Feb 1727 in Sorel.
NINTH GENERATION
Jean-Baptiste LAVALLÉE was born 29 Feb and baptized 17 March 1708 at Île-du-Pas (1). He married Marie Madeleine GÉNÉREUX on 13 May 1734, Contrat Notaire De La Foss. Jean-Baptiste died at age 59 on 21 May and was buried 22 May 1766 in Ste-Geneviève.
Marie Madeleine GÉNÉREUX was born 15 Jul 1711 in Sorel.

ii. Joseph LAVALLÉE was born before 1737. He married Marie Gertrude MÉREAU (widow of/veuve de Nicolas PROVOT) 22 Aug 1768 at Ste-Geneviève, Berthier. He died in Berthier-en-Haut.i. François LAVALLÉE baptized 6 Nov 1746 at Sorel. He married Catherine MARTIN PELLANT 22 Jan 1770 in Berthier-en-Haut.
iii. Pierre married Marie Josephe AURE LAFERRIERE GRANDMONT 3 Feb 1768 in Berthier-en-Haut.
iv. Madeleine married Ambroise AURE LAFERRIERE GRANDMONT 30 Jan 1769 in Berthier-en-Haut.
v. Michel Amable married Marie Geneviève BRISSET DUPAS on 17 Feb 1783 in Berthier-en-Haut.
vi. Marie-Françoise LAVALLÉE baptized 7 May 1743 at L'Île-Dupas.
EIGHTH GENERATION
Joseph LAVALLÉE was born before 1737. He married Marie Gertrude MÉREAU (widower of Nicolas PROVOT) on 22 Aug 1768 at Ste-Geneviève. He died in Berthier-en-Haut.

Marie Gertrude MÉREAU was born 5 Feb 1754 in Lanoraie. She was also known as MÉREAU-LAPLUME (1). Her parents were Mathurin MÉREAU LAPLUME & Thérèse HARNOIS. She first married Nicolas PROVOST on 30 Jan 1764 in Berthier-en-Haut.

Thérèse LEVÊQUE was born 1780. Her parents were Pierre LEVÊQUE & Geneviève GÉNÉREUX.

i. Louis LAVALLÉE married Rosalie GÉLINA-LACOURSE 18 Aug 1818 in Berthier, Québec.ii. Joseph LAVALLÉE was born 14 Jul and baptized 15 Jul 1799 in Ste-Geneviève. Godparents were Nicolas GEOFROY, uncle, and Gneneviève LAVALLÉE-BOUCHER, aunt.
iii. Marguerite LAVALLÉE was born 6 Nov and baptized 7 Nov 1800 in Ste-Geneviève. Godparents were Pierre LEVÊQUE, grandfather, and Marie-Gertrude MÉREAU-LAVALLÉE, grandmother.
SIXTH GENERATION
Louis LAVALLÉE married Rosalie GÉLINA-LACOURSE dit GÉLINAS on 18 Aug 1818 in Berthier, Québec.

FOURTH GENERATION
Joseph Olivier LAVALLÉE was baptized 27 Aug 1857 in St-Gabriel de Brandon, Berthier Co., Québec (1). He married Elvina SALVAS on 18 Nov 1886 in St-Jean-Baptiste Church, West Warwick, Rhode Island, USA. As a resident of Cranston, Rhode Island, on 3 Dec 1892, he became a United States citizen. He died in 1934.

Elvina SALVAS was also known as Levina SULLIVAN. She is listed in the parish register as Edouardina SALVAS who was born in 1874 in Biddeford, Maine. She was the daughter of Mathilde CÔTÉ. One other document lists the year of her birth as 1867. She died in 1949 in Rhode Island.

iv. Yvonne LAVALLÉE was born in 1898 in Burriville, Rhode Island. She married Albert LANGLAIS. She died in 1953 in Coventry, Rhode Island.i. Anna LAVALLÉE RONDEAU was born in 1890 and died in 1956.
ii. Délia LAVALLÉE LANDRY was born in 1892.
iii. Arthur LAVALLÉE was born in 1896. He married Régina BONIN. He died in 1988 in West Warwick, Rhode Island.
v. Eugénie LAVALLÉE was born in 1901 and died 1905.
2 vi. Wilfred LAVALLÉE. was born 10 Aug 1902 in Burriville, Rhode Island. He died 12 Nov 1969, North Providence, RI. He was buried 15 Nov 1969, St. Joseph's Cemetery, West Warwick, Kent Co., Rhode Island.
vii. Alice LAVALLÉE COLLARD married Theophile J. Collard. They had three children: Bertha, Donat and Leo.
viii. Viola Lavallée LANDRY was born in 1906. She married Alfred Landry in Notre-Dame Church. She died in 2006, at the age of 99 years. She is buried in Notre-Dame Cemetery with her husband. Viola and Alfred had two children: Gérard Landry and Jeanne Landry Bouressa.
ix. Antonio LAVALLÉE was born in 1909 and died in 2000.
THIRD GENERATION
Yvonne LAVALLÉE was born in 1898. She married Albert LANGLAIS. She died in 1953 in Coventry, Rhode Island.
Children were: Claire Langlais, Peter Langlais, Doris Langlais and Alfred Langlais.
SECOND GENERATION
Claire Langlais was born July 21, 1927 in Harris Village, Coventry, RI. She married Richard James from West Warwick,RI, before 1948.
Children were: Margaret (Peggy), Alan James, Mary James Bacon and Colleen James.
Margaret (Peggy) James was the oldest child of Claire Langlais James and Richard James. She was born in in 1948 in Coventry.
She married Robert Fox from Kenosha Wisconsin in 1969. Margaret died in 1969 and is buried in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Warwick, RI.
Alan James first married Susan Schmidt. Then he married Melanie Thomas. He has two daughters: Eileen and Karen.
Mary James Bacon has two daughters: Renée and Tracy.
Colleen James was the youngest born to Claire and Richard James. She has one daughter: Samantha.
FIRST GENERATION
Colleen JAMES was born Warwick, RI. She married Dr. William T. McALLISTER of Riverton, NJ.
Children: Samantha James.
