Dear Kateri,
You know who I am. You have brought me to Kahnawake for special reasons. I will bring to you what you have guided me to do. I will not rest till your deed is done. I thank you for showing me the way so that those who are poor and sick can have their place along with you in Kahnawake. You have given me great vision and hope. However, I need a miracle that I believe only you and God can help provide for me. The man that I love with all of my heart and soul needs you, we both do. I need you to give me courage to do your will and to help Patrick who has only a minimum of 60 days to a year to live from his Cancer.
In my heart, I felt that he was to stand by my side while we built the hospital, nursing homes and including giving back to the native peoples the recognition and respect they deserve. Please grant us the miracle of eliminating his cancer and allowing us the valuable time that we need in order to do all of the things you have shown me to change before either of us is made to leave this world. I hope and pray that I can get Patrick to come here to walk the land of Kahnawake so that he can be blessed by your love and this is why I need your strength and your help.
God bless you Kateri of Kahnawake.

Please pray for our grandson Shane Kelley. He is alost seven years old and a joy to be with.
He was leading a normal healthy life untill about 2 years ago he was striken with a crippling of his legs. He has been undergoing testing to determine what is causing this condition, but nothing is definite yet it seems to be also affecting his fingers.
Please put Shane on the prayer list of your cousin Blessed Kateri.
Blessed Kateri has been very important to us for years and we have implored her to ask God for a miracle for Shane
Thank you

James Perry from PEI wrote to me this evening. Their son Christopher has been diagnosed with cancer – he is in hospital in Halifax and is just a boy. Before Christmas the doctor’s said that though they did not know what he had it was not cancer now they say it is. Here is James’ message to me of this evening – I would also ask if you know of others who would pray to recommend this family to their prayers? This is a parent’s worse nightmare.
Thanks very much. Lucie

Asking for prayers for the wife of a friend's son. Freddie's wife, Angie may have cancer of the jaw. She had surgery a couple of weeks ago to remove some tissue from her mouth and the surgeon believed he got any cancerous tissue out. She had an MRI on the 5th of January to check it out. So we are praying that results will show that there is no Cancer. Freddie was suppose to go back to the Bahamas to continue working on a job, but he will now be staying home to support Angie in this difficult time. Angie is a strong woman and has Faith. She and her husband are close to their priest, and have gone to him for support, and have asked friends for prayers. Please pray for them, and storm Heaven for prayers! Thank you. Blessed Kateri, pray for Angie!

Subject: Bl Kateri, pray for us .........
I have already received a great favor through Kateri's intercession. My daughter suffered from acne and depression and is now much improved. I read that Kateri's smallpox scars disappeared upon her death and so I felt that Kateri would have sympathy for my daughter's skin troubles and sadness.
Now I am in need of another favor from dear little Kateri. My friend (Carolyn) is dealing with a serious and deadly cancer, sarcoma. She has survived the removal of a lung and is facing radiation therapy but the prognosis is not good. I am starting an email novena to Kateri and have invited many people to join me.
Please pray for Carolyn Baird's cure from cancer. Carolyn's surgeon (Dr. Edward Coleman) prayed to Kateri immediately before beginning surgery upon her. What a grace! And he has recommended praying to Kateri in this particular case.
Blessed Kateri, pray for us.

A while back, we put up a Prayer Request for Nilene to ask Blessed Kateri to assit her in her battle against cancer.
We are now posting a new Prayer Request.
On April 9, a novena to Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha, will be said using the following Novena Prayer:
Kateri, favored child, Flower of the Algonquins and Lily of the Mohawks, we come to seek your intercession in our present need: Nilene. We admire the virtures which adorned your soul: love of God and neighbor, humility, obedience, patience, purity and the spirit of sacrifice. Help us to imitate your example in our state of life. Through the goodness and mercy of God, Who has blessed you with so many graces which led you to the true faith and to a high degree of holiness, pray to God for us and help us, and also for Nilene.
Obtain for us a very fervent devotion to the Holy Eucharist so that we may love Holy Mass as you did and receive Holy Communion as often as we can. Teach us also to be devoted to our crucified Savior as you were, that we may cheerfully bear our daily crosses for love of Him Who suffered so much for love of us. Most of all we beg you to pray for us that we may avoid sin, lead a holy life and save our souls. Amen.
In thanksgiving to God for the graces bestowed upon Kateri: one Our Father, Hail Mary and three Glory Be's.
Kateri, Flower of the Algonquins and Lily of the Mohawks, pray for us, especially for Nilene.
We ask each of you to join us in this Prayer Request.
Two significant dates in Kateri Tekakwitha's life occured during April:
April 17, 1680 was Wednesday of Holy Week, the day on which Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha died. Thus April 17 will the 325th anniversary of Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha's death.
On April 18, 1676, Tekakwitha was baptized and received the Christian name of Kateri (pronounced Gah-deh-lee) or Catherine.
Nilene will have a CT scan on April 18, 2005.
We are praying for a Miracle. We ask you to join us in this Prayer Request.

Prayer request for Gary and Cindy Hogan
Gary is serving in Iraq while his young wife is fighting cancer here. Prayer is a powerful thing.
THIS COUPLE NEEDS OUR PRAYERS. PLEASE read this. IT MUST BE TERRIBLY DIFFICULT TO BE IN IRAQ WITH A SICK WIFE AT HOME.
Bobby S. Briggs, MSgt, USAF 823 ESFS/SFOC Flight Sergeant BAGHDAD AB, IRAQ
Tough times don't last... Tough people do !!! My name is Gary Hogan.
Some of you receiving this know me, some do not. My wife, Cindy, is 32 years old and has just been diagnosed 3 days ago with stage 4 cervical cancer and her chances for survival are very slim.
She was pregnant with our second child and had miscarried recently at 3 months, and now we know why. This is a request for you to forward this e-mail to everyone you know asking for prayer. The more people that pray for her to be healed, the better.
Pray and forward. It only takes a second to hit "forward". Please do it and don't delete this, your prayer can and perhaps will save her life. Please pray and ask everyone you know to pray for the HEALING of Cindy, removal of all cancer in her body so she may enjoy all that life has to offer, and to continue to be the wonderful mother to our 5 year old son, Michael
The power of Prayer is unsurpassed I want the whole world to have her in their prayers the next few weeks. God will hear our cry. Please do not be offended by my plea. This is only a request for your help.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading this and helping with our request for healing! No words can express the power we have when we each do a little to come together.
Regards, Cindy's in-love husband - Gary
Thank you, and please send it to the far reaches of our world.

Re: Késsinnimek - Roots - Racines magazine
Dear Norm,
Kindly forgive me for not participating these past few months.
Since I was diagnosed by two physicians as being in the early stages of Alzheimer's, and later informed that it may be progressing more rapidly than anticipated, I have been busy following the advice of my personal counselor and financial advisor in getting ready for the inevitable - residence and care in one of Maine's Veterans' Homes, until the end.
I appreciate the opportunity you provided in my participation in your fine publication. Hopefully, I will find the time and occasion to make further submissions in coming issues.
Bless you, Norm.

Judy underwent surgery succesfully. The tumours that were removed were non-cancerous. She is very thankful to Blessed Kateri for her help.
Judy told me an interesting story:
As I was leaving Stop & Stop grocery store, a feather floated down before me. I thought that it was from a pigeon flying overhead. So I just went on my way. When I arrived home later, I noticed a white feather in my sink! Now, I have no birds in my house and the windows and doors were all closed up tightly. I figure this was Kateri's way of telling me that she took care of my problem. Thank you, Kateri.

Hi, Norm. I don't mind at all if you use my message, but please do not include my last name nor email address. I would appreciate that.
One thing I should tell you -- my sister, Jacquie, is the one who completed a novena to Blessed Kateri and was walking around her back yard immediately after and, lo and behold, A FEATHER. Looks like she reached your very special cousin, as well.
My daughter's name is Erica. She lives in Portland, Oregon and has been unemployed for three years now and unable to find anything. I've had to "fund" her and her family, but my resources are drying up quickly. Portland is the worst city in the US in unemployment. Although she's gone on many interviews, the competition is so fierce, that she has lost out on all the possible jobs thus far. We're praying feverishly for relief. If you have any special "pull" with your cousin, perhaps you could mention my situation? Please do add Erica to your prayer lists and your webpage. We need all the help we can get! :-)
Erica is a wonderful daughter. You would like her. She is vivacious, full of life and love and a very nurturing and loving mother. She deserves a "break."

Dear Normand and Annette,
We want to share a story with you.
This Tuesday (two days before Jud's first chemo) we
were in Warwick running errands and decided to lunch at
the Olive Garden. We knew Jud's diet would be restricted
and thought he could indulge in some last minute Italian
food which he loves. We entered the parking lot and as I
(Emma) got out of the car I noticed - 4 lanes ahead of us -
a parked car that had a front plate with the word "Kateri"
on it. I said to Jud, "let's walk up to read that plate".
Could it be the same "Kateri" that we know from Norm?
Sure enough! The plate read - Kateri, Lily of the Mohawk,
Auriesville, New York. The car was registered in
Massachusetts - can you believe it? We stood by the car
for awhile - wondering where the owner was. Had we been a
few minutes later, or parked in another direction, or just
not looking, we may have missed it altogether. But we
didn't! We were meant to be there at that moment for her
message to us.
We feel it was an omen that she was watching us and
taking care of him - Jud's first chemo went well - and
we're giving the thanks to her! She blessed us on that
day and we know she will be with us all the way. Your
prayers are being answered and we are so appreciative.
Love, Jud and Emma
